The story: You are a bug, but a bug with only four legs. Maybe you're an alien bug that somehow ended up stranded on earth, or maybe you lost two legs in a fly swatter incident. Unfortunately the details are lost in the mists of time. What is crystal clear though is that you have to get from point A to point B. You have to dodge traffic, traverse a pond on top of lily pads and finally you have to ride mighty water-lice before you can finally get to the safety of a cave. But beware, fall in the water and you drown, tarry too long in traffic and get flattened. Then there's a predator crow that sometimes will appear in the mouth of a cave just waiting for you to make that fatal mistake. But there are also rewards. If you're lucky you can get a bonus by catching a fly or even meeting love.
An extra life is granted at the score of 8000.
This version differs in some significant ways from the arcade classic. There are no disappearing bug trains in the last lanes. Although this makes the game more complex and engaging I have always thought that it also made the gameplay too difficult. The same goes for the life partner flitting around. I've tried to give it a bit more ease by rather putting the love interest in a cave mouth. But they will also not tarry there for long though. There's always a catch...
