Escape from Vanishing Point

Some places should remain unmapped. Unvisited. Unknown.

You saw the lights. You followed them. Now you are here, in this forgotten tract of poisoned forest. Something is watching you from between the trees.

The locals won't come here. They know better.

You should have known better too.

Minimum  specification:

64-bit Windows PC
64 Mb graphic texture memory
2 Gbyte RAM
DirectX 9c
Dual core
200 Mbyte disk space

How to install and run:

Download the Escape from Vanishing Point.zip file. 
Place the .zip file in a location where it can be extracted.

Extract the file (Windows 10 example):
Right click the .zip file and navigate to the 'Open with' subfolder.
Then click 'Windows Explorer' to open the .zip file.
At the top of the Explorer bar click on 'Extract All' and extract the files.

In the extracted folder, click on the 'Escape from Vanishing Point.exe' file to run the program.

Controls:

Mouse:   rotation , left click   - weapon usage
Keyboard: WASD - Forward, backwards, strafe, Tab - Inventory, E - use /open
All the  control keys can be remapped.

F1 - Help, F5 - Pause game, F9 - End game, ESC - End program

Notes:

'Escape from Vanishing Point' is the first installment of a three-act play. It is a standalone adventure in the style of the 'Slenderman' games that were released in the early 2010s. It is my first foray into 3D game development and my inexperience in this field is self evident. The game is limited in its depth and scope and I hope to be able to improve over time. If there is sufficient interest in this effort, I would continue on to chapters II and III of this story, otherwise I will move on to other projects. 

By the way  there are multiple ways to complete the game.

If you find  a bad bug which is not a "feature" please let me know in the comment section and if I can fix it, I will do so.
